Manufacturer's insist on adding AB screening reagent cells to patient serum or plasma before adding any enhancement reagent such es LISS or albumin.  Why is that?  What bad happens if albumin is added before the cells or before the specimen?

My package insert for ImmuAdd states that adding ImmuAdd to red cells before plasma may lead to slight hemolysis of red cells.
