Can anyone help me with pipette caliberation?

if anyone has any forms that I can use as templates, procedure to use for the caliberation like gravimeteric or a colorimetric procedure..etc.

it will be greatly appreciated.

I understand according to CAP and AABB pipette caliberation has to be done semi annually..right?

Do I have to caliberate all the MLA pipettes as well as the GEL MTS PIPETTE?

thank you

yes - you have to calibrate all pipets you use.  I do gravimetric - the FDA has never had a problem with this.

send me a message.

Where does it say to do it semi-annual?  Our facility is being inspected soon, I think it'd be a good thing to know...thanks!

We are not CAP accredited so I cannot speak for their standards. AABB does not specify the interval that your pipettes need to be calibrated. It just says 'at prescribed intervals' (Std 3.5.1, 29th ed.)

We actually calibrate ours quarterly; that is defined in our QA policies.

AABB Technical Manual Chapter 1 appendix 1-4, says pipette recalibration should be done quarterly

Hi David, would you be willing to share your gravimetric procedure with me?
