Red Cross is introducing the use of a plasma product that is labeled as "Plasma stored in the freezer within 24 hours of phlebotomy".  (PF24RT24)

E7644

Apheresis plasma

Frozen within 24 hours after phlebotomy

Held up to 24 hours at room temperature after phlebotomy

Does anyone know the corresponding THAWED product code?

Is the E7331 for a 5 day thawed plasma? We only have a 24 hr exp date on thawed plasma and I did not think that the E code had to be changed.

The product code of plasma thawed and used at the same facility with a 24 hour outdate does not have to be relabeled with the thawed product code but it is allowable if a site chooses to do so.
