I like to know, what every one is using for Diff. competency.

 

We are using known Pt. slide for initial training and for annual competency and we have a lot of variations between techs results.

 

We looked in to Cellavision (by Sysmex) I was not impressed with the software.

 

Send me some suggestions.

whenever we get a unique patient, we make 4 slides and coverslip them and add them to our abnormal library along with all pertinent information.  we use the rumke scale to grade technologist responses.  new York state department of health also still puts out glass slides for proficiency testing, so I use those, too.

if a tech's results don't match, I go over the slide with them.
