I have editions 14, 15, & 16 of the AABB Technical Manual that I would hate to just toss. I am looking for any potential users of these and am willing to ship. Let me know! Thanks and glad to be back! MJD:D

I don't need them Mary Jo, but huge respect for thinking of others.

Foreign English speaking countries? Africa maybe? Some school that got flooded in recent years? I'll have to think about our connections.

Another tell-tale sign of a Blood banker-can't give up old Techical Manuals or at least you want to make sure they have a good retirement home! I must admit I still have my 2nd and 3rd Edition (the red cover and blue cover) from my first blood bank assignment after lab school. Our Director issued every tech their own personal copy. I'm sure this is a common story.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, I've kept all of my Mollison's from the 6th edition, all 3 editions of Issitt and also have a 1st edition Race and Sanger, along with a whole host of other old blood transfusion books, so I think you are right Johnv!

If you are still in a hospital - our Risk Management Dept wanted us to keep all of those books so they would have access to the "Standard of Care" available at the time in case of a litigation case that reached back in time. That said - they have only referred to them once. They also want to me keep all of my "retired" procedures indefinitely - same reason. Storage problems!!

Sometimes a med tech school is in need of such information. Often they are operating on a very tight budget and are thrilled to have them as a reference for the students even if an older version.
