We are looking into purchasing a new blood bank refrigerator. I am depating between a Helmer or a Revco (from Cardinal). We do have a Revco in our department currently, but I have never tried a Helmer. Just curious as to other people experiences.

I like the magnetic door seal on Helmer products. Alarm testing is easily done!

Helmer. Easy alarm testing, shelves slide easily. Our old one was 35 years old (no kidding), we just replaced it 4 years ago. They rarely need service.

I have a Helmer on order now, so that is my vote.

Helmer fan. We have 3 double door refrig., a single door refrig, freezer, plt incubator, 2 Helmer thaw systems and a cell washer. Good company.

Another thing to consider about Helmer is that they are located in Indiana and build their units at this location. Parts should be very readily available and service should be easy to communicate with.

Helmer. Great products and an excellent company to deal with.
