Does anyone know of an alternate vendor for Thermogenesis Plasma Thawer POCKETS?

Elephant condoms are expensive aren't they... Wet suit or cycle tyre repair kit is much cheaper ;}

I agree, we repair until they become dry and crack often.

I told my manager that when the pockets for ours died, we'd be needing a new plasma thawer. It is elderly. It's served it's time. He didn't say no!

I was so happy when ours died and I was able to get a Helmer DH4. Had I known the pockets were so expensive I would have saved them and "auctioned" them off.

I remember receiving a notice from Thermogenesis that they were no longer making any replacement items for the thawer since they were getting out of the plasma thawer business (bummer). I ordered several of the pockets. Our thermogenesis is 13 years old and is now our backup. We purchased a Cytotherm CT-DR. Not bad, but I wish Thermo was still in the thawer business.

We've always liked our Thermogenesis thawer, too. I suppose we'll try Helmer when it dies of old age.

There was an article recently indicating that the Thermogenesis products related to Plasma freezer and thawing were being sold to Helmer:

Contact Helmer. They may have the pockets. Helmer just bought the Thermogenesis plasma line the beginning of January. I know they are not selling the thawer, but perhaps they will have parts.
