Now I am getting very old, my memory is not what it was, but I remember someone posting in a thread and mentioning immunomodulation post-transfusion. I can't even remember who it was, although I think it was one of our regular posters.

Anyway, the latest issue of the NHSBT Blood and Transplant Matters (an information magazine for hospitals served by NHSBT) has just been published, and in it, there is a really great article written by Mo Blajchman on exactly this subject.

If anyone would like to read this, if you put "Blood and Transplant Matters" into your search engine, and then go to Issue 36, you will find it on pages 10 and 11.

I hope that is useful and, again, I apologise for having a head like a sieve!

That thread seems vaguely familiar. Could be that I posted something about immunomodulation in the not too distant past, but, alas, I don't remember. Thanks for the info. I'd best do the search now before I forget!
