Just wondering what other blood collecting facilities do for potential donors with active adult asthma?

Do you defer the donor? Are there any exceptions to this defer, like exercise induced asthma?

Hi Stephanie,

We defer until they are asymptomatic, the only exceptions we have are for auto, therapeutic and HPC donors, then we consult with a medical director.

We only take asymptomatic donors (even for the autos).
