what is the policy regarding G 6PD def donors??

should they be allowed to donate red cells?or is it better to defer them from blood donation?

yes that is certainly preferable. But what about when a significant proportion of the donor population is G6 PD deficient?

good question . . . make sure the recipient doesn't eat fava beans for 3 months?
