There is documentation that the laboratory has met the requirements of the US Nuclear

Regulatory Commission for blood irradiation devices.

NOTE: This checklist element can be satisfied by a certificate or letter stating that the laboratory is in compliance with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Anyone know how to get this certificate or letter?

Your state government offices should be able to direct you to the Nuclear Regulatory Agency. If your local blood supplier (assuming that is not you!) should be able to also, if they have a Cesium or other nuclear source irradiator. This certificate is not needed for the newer X-ray irradiators and is probably not needed for human (cancer treatment) irradiators either, if that is what you are using. If you are irradiating units by any of these methods, don't forget your FDA registration - that is definitely needed.

We are using our cancer center to irradiate and the are using Linear Accelerators. So I can assume that we do not need this certificate.
