Hi everyone,

I am currently working on a SOP and I was hoping I could get some opinions. What is your quality control for rare red blood cells that are kept in liquid nitrogen? Do you phenotype once prior to freezing or every time the cell is used for testing? Thanks for the help

Once, but that once is confirmed by the International Blood Group Reference Laboratory.
