For sites that have a Cesium 137 blood irradiator what is your policy on techs who are pregnant irradiating products. Thanks in advance.

We have pregnant techs wear a fetal dosimeter while at work.

You should check with your Radiation Safety officer, or Radiology dept. There should be a procedure in place. On the other hand, if routine monitoring by dosimetry shows no leakage, there may be no further need for additional monitoring or procedures. We have not monitored individuals for asong as we've had our cesium irradiator - 18 years and several pregnancies.
