I'm curious to see how other centers deal with positive viral marker results in 16 and 17 year old donors.

It this addressed on your consent?

Do you send results to the parents / guardian / donor / both?

Thanks

Since we require consent by the parent/guardian, the results go to them.

We notify BOTH the parent and the under age minor. In North Dakota, that would be donors that are 16 years old.

We only have to consent 16 year olds and it is part of the consent that results will be charged with the parents.
