How long should it take to transfuse a patient with :

8 L of crystalloid fluid

4 L of colloid fluid

and

4 units of PRBC's ???

This is after he has had a significant amount of hemorrhaging from deep within the hilum of the kidney that resulted in approximately 2 L of blood.

[This amount was transfused into the patient within 60 minutes, yes it is volume overload but I need a time in which this procedure should've been completed in.]

Thanks!

I am not a physician, so my opinion maybe not right.

I have read some books say about CVP, I think this is a indication of infusion and blood loss balance.

As to time , I think it is been infected by the blood loss rate.

This is just my opinion.
