For those facilities that provide Hemoglobin S negative units for sickle patients, do you charge for the sickle test performed on the units? If so, how do you capture the charge?

CPT code for sickle cell testing on a donor is 85660.

We charge, as Marilyn says.

We have the charge attached to the attribute. When we add the attribute HbgS Neg it charges for the unit and sickle testing. We only add the attribute when the patient requires it though.
