Just curious; did anyone else just receive (via Fed Ex; 10/27/09) an Urgent Product Recall from Immucor/Gamma related to their Complement Control Cells which expired 10/16/09 ???? Hmmmmm ...better late than never?

Yes I did . . . curious isn't it. Recently rec'd a recall on a fetal screen (I believe) - recalled the day before the kit outdated.

Recieved mine by email notification. Did think it was "interesting" that the recall was for a product that had expired 10 days prior to the date of the notice.

Do you suppose that it is because the FDA is all over their business - new quality program, etc?

If they announced the recall BEFORE expiration, they would have to replace the reagent at no cost! Convenient isn't it!
