Can more than one ABO testing be billed within a 72 hour time frame?

As long as they are on different specimens. We don't charge for more than one a day, even if we need a new specimen (we would do it and then credit the testing charge).

We often get two blood type requests the same day (drawn at different times) for patients being listed for an organ transplant. They can not list the patient until they have two blood type results. We do charge for both blood types. I have no clue whether or not we get paid but I have not been contacted by billing saying the second charge was rejected.
