Could anyone tell me how much you charge for pooled cryo?

I think you need to clarify. Do you want to know how much a blood center charges a hospital, or how much a hospital charges a patient?

Our supplier charges $51 per single cryoprecipitate unit(approx 10-15ml ea). They do not supply pooled cryo. We pool them ourselves after thawing, commonly in 10 unit doses.

Our Blood Center supplies us with pooled cryo( 5 in 1 bag) They charge us 300.00 per cryo pool. Very worth it as all we have to do is thaw it.

I also think it's worth the price to order prepooled cryo. When you are thinking about cost, remember to factor in the price of the bag you pool into, any other supplies used and tech time. Makes the extra amount the prepool costs look better. It is a very efficient way for us to provide the product with minimal staffing.
