Does anyone out there have a job description for a QA and/or education coordinator for general lab to include blood bank?

Thank you,

Phyllis

I have a position information questionnaire (human resources pay scale setting tool) for a QA Coordinator position that was strictly in the blood bank. I also have a brief job description. I am comfortable sharing this becuase when I left the postion, it was not rehired/refilled to these definitions. I could fax if you send me a number. Please email jquast@deltahospital.org. Thanks

Good morning Phyllis,

I don't know if you've been able to use the document Juli offered, but there is quite a bit of information regarding a "QA" position on both the ASQ, American Society for Quality web site, e.g. http://www.asq.org/certification/ as well as on the ISO web site, e.g. http://www.iso.org/iso/home.htm

I'm not sure if the information would be too 'generic' for your purposes, e.g. not specific enough for Blood Banking QA, but it may help. Another resource might be the CLSI web site, e.g. http://www.clsi.org/

Hope this helps,

Filam -

I have not taken that exam (CQIA), but know from the ones that I have taken that ASQ typically posts a list of resources / books on the website under the BOK (Body of Knowledge) section for each certification.
