I have worked in a community hospital transfusion service for 20+ years. The last 5 with Meditech and an Ortho Provue. We get all our products form Red Cross and are still using Codabar labelling but are ready for ISBT when implemented by ARC.

I was glad to so the Meditech users on this site. Will be back again.

I am looking for a Codabar barcode for 5-day plasma?

We used 18401 for 5 day thawed plasma. This is a generic code for plasma that is not fresh frozen. You could also use 29381, which is defined as thawed plasma. I got the information from Shamrock Labels web catalog.
