We are running HCLL 3.0.1 which prints through a Hematrax server to a Zebra Z4M Plus 300 dpi printer with a 4x4 label.

Whenever a batch of products are modified in product modification screen, only a few labels are printed. For example, if 10 products are modified in a batch, only 4 or 5 labels are printed instead of all 10. In addition, the printer resturss RST packets during a batch print when we do a network trace.

Has anyone seen this or another similar problem? Thanks,

Angel Gonzalez

We have this problem with HCLL 2.9.3. We can only thaw FFP in batches of 2. If we do more we don't get the 3rd, 4th, etc label.

I thought this was going to be fixed in our next upgrade, we are on deck to do 3.0.0 after the first of the year.

Thanks for the response. I can tell you that the batch printing does work if we use a Zebra ZM400 printer which is the newer Zebra printer. The Z4M Plus were discontinued by Zebra but they were bought a year ago for this project.

Currently, the Digi-trax (Zebra reseller, Hematrax vendor) has suggestd that we try swapping the network card on the Z4M Plus. Hopefully he will send us the card in a few days.

Update: We got a new 10/100 network card from the Zebra printer vendor for the Z4M Plus but this did not fix the problem.

The problem is fixed. After 2 1/2 weeks of going back and forth with Mediware and Digi-trax, we finally got to a tech at Zebra named Dan. He suggested:

"The last thing we need to try and it does not look like any one tried this. If it’s a 10 base T Print server disable bidirectional …if it’s a 10/100 change parallel port mode from nibble to compatibility and the Zebra link mode to disable. Attached are screen shoots of where to do it."

Since our printers were 10base-T based Z4M Plus'es, we disabled bidirectional printer and that did the trick!

Thanks again Dan, wherever you are.
