Hi.

We are thinking of doing cholesterol testing for our blood donors. Does anyone have an SOP for the collection and reporting of cholesterol or other value added testing for donors.

Thanks

Stu,

We currently use a phone-in system, which allows donors to call 7 days after their donation and retrieve their blood type and cholesterol results. It is also available for donors who have registered for our on-line rewards and appointment scheduling through e-Donor (www.donorpoint.org). Currently, cholesterol is the only "wellness" item on the page, but when we implement SafeTrace, we will also be providing blood pressure (and maybe other things).
