Greetings.

I am a Factor X (10) deficient hemophiliac. I know this is a rare form here in the States and worldwide. I do not take compensatory factor, so I know the value of my product.

My problem is getting a buyer. I have donated plasma before, so I am familiar with the procedure. Would anyone here know of a firm I can offer my services to?

The current broker I am involved with, I will say is offering less than satisfactory compensation, and at times is very rude. LOL.

Would anyone here know of a firm I can offer my services to?

Thanks for your concern.

I always assumed that factor-deficient plasmas were made by absorbing out the factors from pooled normal plasms, not from factor-deficient donors. But I guess I don't actually know. Any coag experts out there?

thank you for responding.

im not as knowledgeable concerning this field as you are, but was born with this deficiency. i think the byproduct is used to test for other factor x deficient (hemophila) persons, im not sure.

i would guess some units are pooled, but there is a market for pure units, here and overseas.

You can talk to these folks. Maybe they would have info for you. They make factor deficient plasma from normal plasma so I don't know if they need any deficient donors.
