I stumbled across this forum quite by accident and was delighted by the scope of topics being discussed. I am the compliance officer for the Blood Bank and Tissue Services laboratories of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. I have also been responsible for compliance in the Stem Cell Transplant and Stem Cell Collection facilities. I have over twenty years of experience in the industry and have filled the compliance roll since 2001.

Posted opinions are my own, and not necessarily that of my employer. My facility doesn't endorse anything but we are permitted and encouraged to share our experiences with other facilities. I am stating this up-front in order to comply with corporate integrity and risk policies.
