How do Donor Centers comply with CAP requirements as far as the rest of the lab for checking new lots vs. old prior to use?

Also do you set your own ranges for controls for donor testing equipment (Hemocue, pH)?

We are not a donor center, so I can't answer your first question, but we use a Hemocue for the autologous donors that we collect here, and we borrow the commercial control that our Hematology Dept uses (and the insert with the control states the acceptable limits.)
