We have a super group that includes the following groups:

ABO

DAT

Overall interp:

We have control cell groupings for patient and unit pre and post ABO and patient DAT. We also still have a manual form that goes along with this. Hope this helps.

Currently we are on Millennium, but when we ran Cerner Classic we ordered separate tests on the post reaction sample and a repeat Group and screen on the pre sample. A footnote (using templates) was entered for each test to indictae if it was a pre or post sample test.

We order a TRXN in Cerner Classic. We have a form built for this test and go into PRE where we fill in our results and then put in a template for whatever kind of reaction it was. The pathologist then looks at it and if he/she is happy with everything verifies it. We just did the last upgrade for Classic that will exist so sometime before it sunsets it will be on to Milenium. I would be interested to hear how folks are liking Millenium.

We built a template that we text in our DAT results, which includes pre/post. The ABORh is part of the super group for the post retype. We also use a form that we keep for all additonal testing as necessary. Pathologist conclusions are a text answer.

can you set flags.....1) if your post ABO doesn't match Pre? 2) If you enter different donor type than what cerner has? 3) if you are trying to crossmatch incompatible donor.....eg. let's say first specimen was A Pos, you issued A Pos and when you received Post specimen O Pos...when you are working up TRXN, and when you try to crossmatch A pos donor with O pos patient...does it give you flag? ( this would be incase if youe receive wrong blood in tube as your Pre specimen).

Sorry for asking too many question...

Did you do 015 upgrade? How much validation is required? Particularly blood bank part?
