There is a float option in the chat room which should allow you to read posts at the same time. The chat room is relatively so we haven't had a chance to use it as it was attended. I think that Cliff wants to start having scheduled chats at some point to discuss different issues.

Thanks Donna. It would be nice to be able to discuss in a chat room some of the questions, problems, etc that come up. I will try the float option and watch for scheduled discussions in the chat room.

In the next newsletter I send I will focus on the chat room.

It's a very powerful tool that can handle thousands of people on at the same time, not that I imagine that happening at this time. So that would give us the ability to have multiple rooms available at the same time with different topics in each.

I'd like to be able to propose a topic or two to be discussed and a time when we could all come one.

Please post here your suggestions.

How about RH/weak D testing for patient/transfusion recepient?

How about we discuss case study or a interesting patient once every week??

How about massive tranfusion protocol? is it working or not?

Incident error reporting/QA issues ...How everybody handles them? How to handl QA issues/non compliance issues without being the bad guy???

I think any time after 9:30 should be OK. once our kids go to sleep.

Is there anyway you can archive your caht session???

Great ideas, thank you!

Yes, the chat's can be archived and posted a day or two after. The entire chat is emailed to me.

More to come...

How about a topic discussing blood bank role with cell salvage in Op.Room, when looking towards "Perioperative Accreditation" for this from AABB?

;)
