Can someone help with managing a build for reconstituted RBC blood product for a neonate exchange transfusion in Soft bank and Epic system.

What billing codes are associated with this product?

Thanks,

Eva

I can't help with Soft.  We bill for the plasma unit, thawing it, the RBC unit and probably pooling (but I would have to check on that).

Hello,

We build the RRC component code in SoftBank as the main product code and then build the individual RRC components depending on the type of RC used.  After pooling the RCI and FFP in SoftBank creates the RRC (reconstituted red cell).  We issue the RRC to the patient.  We then bill the patient for a RCI, FFP and a pool.  I can be reached at joy.gould@jefferson.edu if you need more information.
