Hello,

We just got the new Ortho Vision and the representative told us that it doesn't need any carry-over studies. Is this true? We did ask them for an official letter from Ortho and haven't got back to us yet.

Can somebody also send me a validation protocol for electronic crossmatch as we are planning to validate it soon.

Thank you very much.

I have never used the Vision, but I googled it and looks like the FDA did a carryover study on it. I attached it. It is from 2019, sorry. Maybe you can find something more current. Good luck.  BK19

If you subscribe to a whole Blood Proficiency test ( like CAP JAT) the samples contain reverse group antibodies anti A, Anti B etc. and a couple of antibodies. its easy to write your own study looking

If you subscribe to a whole Blood Proficiency test ( like CAP JAT) the samples contain reverse group antibodies anti A, Anti B etc. and a couple of antibodies. its easy to write your own study looking for carryover in the adjacent samples.  Alternatively Hemo bioscience makes and sells a validation kit for instrumentation and this contains similar materials....

Check your instrument manual carefully. Immucor has a statement in the manual for the Echo that addresses carry over. Maybe Ortho does as well???
