We have recently purchased the AlbaQ-Chek commercially prepared reagents RBC controls for running Anti_D,A,B,C, and E on the ProVue. Any one else who uses these controls: do you do a lot qual or lot to lot comparison on the actual control, and if so, what is your method? And what regulation is satisfied by doing a lot qual/lot to lot comparison on reagent RBC controls?

Thanks!

We never perform lot verification on controls. We use Alba-Chek for Vision QC.

We use Alba-QC-Chek for Daily and Day of Use QC on ProVue. We put new lot of Alba-QC-Chek into use on Mondays.  If inspector asks for evidence of lot to lot comparision, we would show them Sunday's QC test results on old lot of Alba-QC-Chek and Monday's QC test results on new lot of Alba-QC-Chek.   It is extremely rare for Daily QC to fail on ProVue.
