    We have an MTP Protocol for Trauma, which has been quite successful and been in place for 2 years We have a very active Trauma Department. It really needs close and complete cooperation with the Trauma department.     In Illinois, both BB techs and RNs ( all should have appropriate TAP training) may perform TAP. However, nurses are the only ones allowed to administer medications.
