I have ordered a wire thermometer similar to the picture shown and plan to use that to verify green light. Thanks everyone for responses. I am concerned inspector won't accept light is green so okay!!!

If you have not been able to acquire the new ortho workstation and still using the old workstation that is no longer registered or listed as a cleared medical device with the FDA what action are you taking if any?

Of course, if our SOP is written to state that is our policy.

We have had a physician who would not approve O positive so I guess my question should be can our medical director make decision without consent of attending.

Our Blood Bank is having trouble locating a lab to perform KBK when our Fetal Screen is positive because so infrequently done now. Does anyone else have this problem and any other options?

We use Blood Bank arm band and have no plans to discontinue. We also require ABO retype if our patient does not have historical blood type and is not type "O"

Do your RN's perform transfusion verifications and initial vitals or do you have LPN's perform/assist with these task?

Has anyone performed the new software update for the Vision analyzer? How did it go?

Does anyone have a problem with mold growth in diluent 2 that is being rotated on and off the Vision analyzer. We are currently loading a Diluent 2 and Diluent 2+ set each morning and rotating the set back to the refrigerator after 24 hours on board. Due to low usage after 3 weeks we have mold growth

How long does it take for you to use up a bottle of diluent 2 or do you discard any unused after a certain time period
