The Sysmex XS 1000i is a small Hematology instrument. The platelet linearity is from 0 to 6891. When I perform a parallel with the Sysmex XE-2100 (our main Hematology instrument) results between both instruments are all within lineairty and they are within =/-10.

We switched from the Dispette 2 to ESR STAT Plus. It is automated and only takes 5 minutes to run. We save on controls and waste products. We use a very small amount of voluem to run. It is pretty cool. QC works good too. It is worth checking. It is made by HemaTechnologies Inc (908-828-9430)

We are currently using Sysmex XE-2100 and XS-1000i. We love sysmex. A lot of hospitals have been switching to Sysmex Hematology instruments lately.

:)It is best to follow these criteria (see attachments) and reject them if they do not fall with in the standards. Why make a patient pay for inaccurate results and have to redo it properly the second time around? Semen collection criteria.doc
