Does anyone have their SOPs in a paperless format (meaning, on a community computer in the lab or on a thumb drive)? If so, how do you document annual review for each SOP? -
I agree with the previous post. At the AABB annual meeting in Baltimore, Robin Nozick gave a presentation to the assessors on how to inspect computer validation at a facility. Her presentation was based on the August 2004 Vox Sanguinis article on computer validation. Good examples of forms for your Validation Master Plan were presented.

We currently use Mediware Lifeline for both Transfusion Service and Donor Services. We will be purchasing a new system soon (decision to be made in 1-2 weeks). We have narrowed our decision down to Mediware (HCLL for the Transfusion Service; LifeTrak for Donor Services) or Wyndgate (SafeTrace-TX for Transfusion Service; SafeTrace for Donor Services). Any advice out there? Pros or cons?? Thanks. Terry Anderson
