    Grippy got a reaction from Auntie-D in 50x vs. 100x for manual differential counts   
    50. If our lab was to use 100 we would all be spending twice the time doing diffs and much would be missed. Ever take a slide to the pathologist? They use a lower power than 50 to get the best overall view. Only go to 100 if there is something that needs inspection. If someone needs 100 to do a diff send them back to the student desk

    We wash a suspension of cord red blood cells maunually 3x.
    From these washed cells we do an ABO and Rh type in tube.
    Also, from the washed cell suspension, 1 and 2 drops of it are
    placed into 2 respective tubes, wash 3-4 times in the cells washer
    and then add 2 drops of Anti-IgG to eaxh tube for the DAT.
