  1. I also faced such problem that during AHG crossmatch the donor unit was incompatibe,subsquintly Donor Unit RBCs was tested for DAT, and found "POSITIVE". Hence donor unit was discarded.
  2. We also facing such problems,when the Blood donors need blood for their relatives. We collect the amount as per the guidlines given by NBTC, INDIA and explain the fact for such amount collected. i.e; Blood Bag cost,TTI testings,salary for staffs, power, Maintanance of eqpt (AMC) charges. Thanks.
  3. As per the Standards for Blood Banks & Blood Transfusion Services in India. We adopting the following Procedure as laid down: " The Rh(D) type should be determined with Anti-D reagent from two different sources using a validated method.It is preferable to use one IgM and other a blend i.e., IgM+IgG. If blood is typed as D-Negative it should be tested to detect weak "D" using IAT method.When the test for "D or D" Weak is positive, the label should read Rh(D) positive. When the test for "D or D" weak is Negative the label should read Rh(D) Negative"
  4. We recently installed Dia Med Micro Typing System, and doing Type & Screen , our policy is to Cross match Negative Blood Units if Ab screen is Positive
