  1. My safety officer is telling me that I must use a splash shield to open tubes for transfusion service testing. He says that even though we use safety top tubes, aerosols are created and we must protect staff. I contend that aerosols are not what those shields protect against, it is splashes. But I must ask you all, is it common practice to use a shield to work behind?
  2. My blood bank is small and we have generalists on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, but we use email to send to everyone so we can communicate to all at the same time. That way everyone gets the same message and can reply with followup, too.
  3. I think most people are looking at going from CPDA to Adsol for babies and it seems you have taken a step backwards in going from Adsol to CPDA. Is there any way to change back to Adsol based on your antibody argument?
