We put it in a clear biohazard plastic bag, then inside a colored plastic bag for this purpose..we actually ordered the small colored plastic bags from the gift shop. They work! LOL

We take the temp upon return. The temp varies depending on what area of the hospital the blood was sitting . OR is very cold, pt rooms are very hot, etc.

We get pre-pooled from ARC also.

We do not use potentiator with a prewarm. We incubate for 15 separate then 30 together.

We screen units for Kell only for those with Anti Kell and Sickle Cell recipients.

Is anyone performing any other testing on an antepartum RhIG other than an Rh, that has had an IAT on their prenatal sample?
