  1. At my facility we do not accept truncated names on tubes for the transfusion service. The phleb is required to review the label and hand write in the missing letters before signing the tubes. Good luck
  2. Hello everyone, I just recently purchased two Echos and was wondering if anyone had any advise on how many samples to use to perform the parallel testing? I have not seen any guidelines from AABB, CAP or Immucor.

    Glad to hear all of the positive feedback about the Echo. We have used gel for 7 years and just recently signed an agreement for two Echo instruments.
  4. We also do immediate spin only crossmatches on all patients unless they have a history of a positive antibody screen/identified antibody.
