  7. Sounds like ABO discrepancy due to a cold agglutinin which may or may not have specificity. I would run 3 M+ cells and 3 M neg cells at IS, RT and 4'C along with an autocontrol. IF only the M+ cells react at IS or RT, then I would ficin treat the A1 and B cells and repeat the reverse grouping using ficin treated cells. Just a suggestion.

  20. You can't use REST adsorbed plasma to XM. IT removes ABO iso hemoglutinins. But use your validated computer system if all else fails. If your computer is validated and will not let you select ABO incompatible units then it can be used for ABO compatibility.
  21. Hi, We use igloo coolers and three ice blocks frozen and stored at -20 to -25'C. No colder. One refrigerated coolant pack (stored in a fridge of 1-6'C) placed on the bottom of the insert. Then the units on top of that and another refrigerated coolant pack on top of the units. Coolers will stay within 1-6'C for 8 hours. We can only send out two units in a cooler at a time.
