Donor deferral for anticoagulants

new user, sorry if this has come up before. Does anyone know if there is an FDA standard for deferring donors on anticoagulants and if so, what the standard is? (I have tried and failed to locate this on the FDA website)

There is for platelet donation.  I'm not aware of any for RBC/Plasma donation.

Well, there is no explicit FDA regulation relating to blood donors and anticoagulant use, but the FDA does recognize AABB Universal Donor History Questionnaire documents, and the Medication Deferral List is included in those documents. There are several anticoagulants listed there, with 2 or 7 day deferral periods. [we actually defer all of them for 7 days, for simpler screening/deferral]

Eman - do you defer ALL donations for those medications?  Or just platelets?  (are the medications things like Ibuprofen or Naproxen? or something else?)
