Grifol Antisera's and red cells antibody screening kit

I have just "played" with the Grifols manual gel system and reagent red cells.

Red Cells/antibody panel:  What to say about reagent red cells - they work as anticipated.  Their 11 cell panel has a very nice antigram including Kpa and Jsa positive cells (don't know if the Jsa+ would be on all lot#s.

Have not used any of their antisera, but have tested antigen typing in their gel using "classic" reagent abs.  Everything I tested (monoclonal C,c,E,e,K,Jka,Jkb, and M; and polyclonal k,Kpa,Fya, Fyb,S,s and Lectins: A1 and N) worked in their gel (as they do in Ortho's).  I use a variety of vendor antisera from Ortho, Immucor, Hemobioscience and Quotient.  I found Immucor's monoclonal anti-P reacted with P negative cells (as it does with the Ortho gel also).

For what it is worth . . .

Sorry for late reply,

we are planning to replace Biorad to grifol antisera's

I can understand your decision. the quality of bioraed is going down. I use also Grifols and it is good stuff.
