R1R2 Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Hi all, The apheresis (stem cell collection only) part of the Transfusion Service is splitting off and will now become a separate hospital department. In the past, CAP would inspect the apheresis department with the rest of the Transfusion Service as well as FACT. All our inspections (AABB, CAP, FACT) want to see that the BB Medical Director is involved in policy and procedure making. We amended our quality plan with a statement to that effect.
