GEN.41770 Residual Detergent Check

We do not wash a great volume of glassware however, we are in the process of developing a procedure to check for residual detergent so that we are in compliance with CAP checklist question GEN.41770. Please advise:

1. We found bromcresol purple and bromocresol purple when searching for the suggested reagent indicated on the checklist. What do you use?

2. What method are other laboratories using to check for residual detergent? Are they using the powder form, prepared solution or dipstick method?

Thanks in advance for your input!
