Homeland Security regulations for irradiator

I was wondering if those of you who have irradiators in their blood banks have had to tighten up the security of the area? If so, what measures have been required? I am wondering also if the requirements vary with the type or size of the facility. For instance, I work in a large teaching hospital affiliated with a university that holds the license for the irradiator. Our irradiator is in a room behind a door guarded by an electronic pad which requires us to wave a "fob" at it to disarm the motion sensor alarm within; then we have to have our iris scanned before the door unlocks. There is also a camera within the room and a "panic bar" to push that calls security if we are attacked while inside this room. We are fingerprinted and have FBI checks before being allowed access.

I have friends working in a smaller, non-university hospital that only requires a locked door with a keypad.

Just wondering how everyone else is fairing under Homeland Security's new regulations...

This is an old topic, but some links to the information are included for anyone who is interested. Bear in mind there are different requirements based on whether your radionuclides are above the threshold of concern.
