Laurie Underwood Posted November 1, 2018 Share Posted November 1, 2018 We just finished with our JCAHO inspection Oct 2018 and nothing was said about how we handled Rhogam. Our pharmacy orders the Rhogam inventory since Rhogam is given in the MAR (has a NDC #) and pharmacy gets the revenue when administered. Blood Bank stores the Rhogam and determines who is a candidate. Blood Bank calls the pharmacy when we need them to order more inventory. klsmith Posted November 3, 2018 Share Posted November 3, 2018 What state are you in? When I was working in NYS (which has super stringent rules and regulations) the pharmacy dispensed the Rhogam. In my lab here in AZ, The Blood Bank issues it. My current lab is JCAHO accredited, and we have never ever had an issue! Are you sure it is not a state thing?
