When this is not possible, we have a manual log where 2nd checks are documented. One example where it is not possible: labeling platelet products with the actual yield. Why doesn't MediTech listen to us and build a label check function into the Make Aliquots, Make Components, and Pool Units routines?????? SO FRUSTRATING!!!! Sunquest label check will only verify the ABO/Rh and expiration date/time of the generated label, but cannot verify if the rest of the label is correct.
