saralm88
Good morning friends! I hope everyone is doing well! I am hoping this is an easy question - I am trying to discard some older documents (using the AABB and CAP requirements). I have found some old audits and I wondering if they fall under the 5 or 10 year mark. I was categorizing them under my Quality system review/management and using the 5 year retention time. Does this sound right? What do others do? Thank you everyone!!
SbbPerson ☆
May I ask what type of audits are they? Are they blood bank patient results audits? Or are they general laboratory procedure audits?
David Saikin
My audits are on line and remain available indefinitely. I'm assuming you are auditing your transfusions. jshepherd
jshepherd
Agree with David. I have scanned my "long keep" type of documents into our secure drive. WAY less paper to handle, and you can keep them longer too. 5 or 10 year keep depends on what you are auditing.
