AMcCord
We are working on a derivative tag for RhIG from our new blood bank information system (SafeTrace Tx). So my question for everyone...Does your label for RhIG include the patient specimen expiration date/time?
Patty
Blood Bank does not dispense RHIG. We report the number of vials of RHIG as part of the RHIG work-up based on the fetal screen or stain result. Pharmacy supplies RHIG based on our result.
SMILLER
The forms that come with the product have a spot for the patient's test date. Other than that there is nothing specific about the specimen expiration, which is probably because it's not relevant to simple Rh Ig administration. Dansket
We elected to use the same form as used for blood transfusion. It is preprinted with some RhIg specific text. Our Meditech system is configured to print the RhIg syringe expiration date.
David Saikin
All I use is a satellite label on the product(s) being distributed (albumin) or RhIg. I do not label the derivatives like I label components.
